The SSI Extended Range training program is the core program that all other open-circuit programs build on. This program is the start of your exciting journey to become an accomplished tech diver. Using either a sidemount or twinset configuration, this program prepares you to plan and conduct trimix decompression dives to a maximum depth of 150 feet.
You will learn the techniques and procedures for using Nitrox mixtures of up to 100% oxygen for decompression. You will earn the SSI Extended Range diver certification after completing this program and gain new tech diver knowledge.
This program provides divers with the training necessary to:

Independently plan and conduct decompression dives

In a Twinset or XR Sidemount Total Diving System

To a maximum depth of 150 feet

Using decompression gas mixtures up to 100% O2
-
For a maximum accumulated decompression time of 25 minutes

With an equally or more qualified buddy
PREREQUISITES:

Must have logged at least: 50 dives

Must have the following SSI certifications or an equivalent from a recognized training agency:

Deep Diving
-
Enriched Air Nitrox 40%

Extended Range Foundations

Must provide your own total diving system in either Twinset or Sidemount configurations, plus 1 stage cylinder
