    Learning to dive is almost as much fun as diving itself! Diving is an adventure sport and to dive safely, you must have the necessary knowledge, skills, life support equipment and experience. You also need a "divers licence" known as a "C-card". Our expert instructors will prepare you for a lifetime of fun underwater!

    The Chattanooga area has an abundance of lakes, rivers, and streams to enjoy water sports. Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children under the age of 15 and swimming is one of the most important life skills.  Our instructors are passionate about teaching both kids and adults to swim and safely enjoy the water.

    Chattanooga is located within a day's drive of the best diving in the continental U.S.  The Carolinas offer world class shipwreck diving. South Florida features reefs that rival those in the Caribbean. And the artificail reefs of Pensacola are ony 6 hours away! We even have freswater dive sites just minutes from the dive center.

We lead trips throughout the Caribbean, Pacific, Indonesia and beyond. We specialize in locations that are off the beaten path and offer extraordinary diving experiences.

    The future of our oceans will be determined by the hearts and minds of our kids. The C-Rays program, for kids 3 years and up, combines water safety and snorkeling skills with an introduction to environmental responsibility and ecology. The kids just think it's fun!

    It is now possible for kids 7 years and up to SCUBA DIVE! The Scuba Rangers program teaches kids what they need to know to dive safely in the pool and restricted (confined) water environments. The Scuba Ranger Club features exciting monthly diving opportunities.

    Be the coolest parent ever and schedule a SWIM PARTY for your kid's next birthday or special occassion. Our enclosed, heated (84ยบ) pool is available year-round. Parties are 90 minutes in duration and include exclusive use of our pool and deck with tables for sharing cake and exchanging gifts.

    Party in another world! Schedule a "Try Scuba" event. Party goers don scuba equipment and experience what its like to "blow bubbles" and be a diver. It includes the exclusive use of our facility, tables and deck area, a scuba instructor, and all of the necessary equipment. It's a totally unique experience!

    Divers use life support equipment. The deeper they dive and the longer they stay, the more dependent they are on its proper operation. Regulators, BC's and instruments should be inspected and/or serviced on an annual basis. We provide high quality service, performance tuning, and OEM parts for all of the brands that we sell.

Choo Choo Diving and Aquatic Center is the premier provider of swim and scuba training and experience-based adventures for youth and adults. Our courses enrich lives through challenging and personally rewarding activities and the confidence gained through quality education.

Our facility was custom designed to provide the perfect learning environment. You are invited to seek a new challenge, learn to swim or scuba dive, travel to a new destination, or learn and advanced diving skill. Our courses change lives and provide new perspective.

We hope that you will share our passion for the aquatic world and our desire to protect the oceans for future generations. Many of our students have been inspired to make a career change. Our swim and scuba instructor trainers can even certify you to teach and share the aquatic realm with others.

Master Diver Weekend

In April, 28 Choo Choo Divers and staff traveled to Vortex Springs in Florida for our annual Master Diver Weekend. Six divers earned their Open Water Rating and others completed specialty courses including Stress & Rescue, Nitrox Diver, Navigation, and more, to qualify for the coveted Master Diver Rating!

North Carolina Wrecks

North Carolina is known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic. There have been hundreds of shipwrecks off the Outer Banks over the years. In the past, the lack of navigational aids, shoaling waters, and confused seas from coliding ocean currents, made for treacherous conditions. Join us on May 21 at 7:00 PM to learn more about North Carolina Diving.
