Must have completed all mandatory class and pool training prior to attending the trip, or must be already certified in Cavern Diving or have higher level equivalent. Please see our list of dates for class/pool sessions.

Cavern certification dives will be conducted in Florida at one of the freshwater springs. Location will be discussed with the class at a later date. Students must complete at least 2 cavern training dives for certification. All students must provide their own means of transportation and accommodations for the trip.

The SSI Cavern/Cenote Diving program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct limited penetration, no-decompression dives in natural overhead environments, to a maximum depth of 100 feet or 200 feet linear distance, and using specialized overhead environment equipment and procedures, with an equally or more qualified buddy.
