Get ready for the heart pounding, adrenaline pumping thrill of a lifetime . . . dive with the Great White sharks of the Guadelupe Islands!
No more excuses . . . you know you have to do it once . . . go face to face with the most feared predator in the world . . . and pray that the guy welding your cage knew what he was doing!
We will spend 5 nights and six days aboard the Nautilus Explorer, the premiere liveaboard dive boat on the west coast. She was custom built to cater to the needs of divers and ranges from the Socorro Islands to Alaska. The staterooms are spacious and comfortable and you will sleep like a baby (if you can forget about what's swimming right below you).
It's a "living large" kind of trip with great food, attentive hostesses, and a sparkling clear hot tub. The bar features 50 wine vintages, 40 microbrews, 11 single malts and more. Eat, drink, and be merry; for tomorrow we DIVE!
Guadalupe Itinerary
Oct 14 (Thu) - Plan to arrive at Linbergh Field (SAN) in San Diego before 5 PM. We will transfer to the Ramada Inn, drop luggage at the Nautilus Explorer meeting room, and have dinner at one of the restaurants on the waterfront. A motor coach will pick us up at 7:30 PM and transport us across the border to Ensenada, Mexico where we board for the 19 hour run to the Guadelupes.
Oct 15 (Fri) - Arrive on station at the Guadalupe Islands late in the afternoon and prepare for diving the next day.
Oct 16 (Sat) - The diving begins at 6:30 AM (for the early risers) and, as if on cue, the great whites show up to see what's for breakfast! Count on 12 hours of non-stop action with as many as 3 to 5 of these magnificent sharks around you at a time! You will have the opportunity to dive until 6:30 PM.
Oct 17 (Sun) - The diving resumes at 6:30 AM, and with 2 cages deployed from the stern and two cages trailed from overside booms, your in-water time will be virtually unlimited for another 12 hours. The submersible cages provide you with a 360º view of the heart pounding action!
Oct 18 (Mon) - Our third and final day with the sharks begins again at 6:30 AM. The diving day will end at 5:00 PM. By now, you may have easily accumulated close to 30 hours of diving with the ultimate predator! Equipment is secured and, as we enjoy dinner, the boat begins the passage back to Ensenada.
Oct 19 (Tue) - We should arrive at the dock in Ensenada between 2:00 and 3:00 PM and board the motor coach for the return trip to San Diego. We will arrive at Linbergh Field at around 6:00 PM.
Note: The itinerary is typical and subject to change based on weather and safety conditions and availability of service. Also, these sharks are wild animals and their presence and behavior cannot be guaranteed. For more shark action, try making yourself look delicious!
