Join us for this adventure packed sailing trip with 6 days of diving. Our destination will be the remote uninhabited islands of the Bahamas. Dolphins are almost a sure thing at one of our dive sites and interacting with a wild dolphin is a moment you will always remember!
We will depart from Freeport and sail west and north to White Sand Ridge. Then we sail on through a number of remote islands as we make our way towards Walker's Cay. We can make 4 to 5 dives per day for a full 5 days plus a dive on the day of arrival (schedules permitting).
When we are not diving, enjoy the sea breezes, work on your tan, snorkel fabulous reefs, read a book, or just take a nap. You can also count on lively conversations, some good laughs, and plenty of rum punch!
Our home afloat will be a 65 foot sailboat, the Avalon. Enjoy air conditioned quarters, great meals, and a crew that loves to wait on you. Mary Nell, Chris, and Captain Ray will make you feel "at home on the ocean". This is one of our most popular trips so don't wait too long and sign up now!
Freeport is also a great place to stay for a couple of extra days. Experience great shopping, sandy beautiful beaches, and marvelous restaurants.
Trip Itinerary
June 5 (Sat) - Make plans to board the Avalon by 2:00 PM. Time and weather permitting, we will make our first dive shortly after we leave port. Then it's time to have a rum punch, enjoy a delicious dinner, and sail away into the sunset.
June 6 (Sun) - Wake to the smell of a hot cooked breakfast and prepare for an amazing day of diving and soaking up some rays. We should make four dives including our first night dive!
June 7 (Mon) - We sail and dive our way northwest along the northern Abaco island chain. Eat, sleep, read, dive, swim, snorkel, sunbathe - you pick the order!
June 8 (Tue) - Dive with the dolphins at White Sand Ridge! Enjoy a stroll along a deserted beach.
June 9 (Wed) - We're in for another day of awesome underwater fun. Plan to log at least another four dives.
June 10 (Thu) - Plan on diving until noon (24 hour surface interval before flying). Spend the afternoon snorkeling, sailing, and flying from the halyard! Then, it's party night as we take over Freeport!
June 11 (Fri) - Enjoy one last meal onboard, say goodbye to our dear friends on the Avalon, and make plans to return next year . . .
Note: When making your air travel plans, your destination is Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO). Plan to arrive before 1:00 PM on day of arrival and plan your departure from Freeport after noon. The itinerary is typical and may vary due to weather or safety conditions or simpy because all of us girls decide we want to do something else!
